T20 World Cup 2022: Tim David named in Australia's T20 World Cup squad

Tim David is a Singaporean cricketer who plays for the Singapore national cricket team and has played several international T20 series for overseas cricket teams including Australia, England and Pakistan.

The 26-year-old, known for his great batting feats, has played 14 T20Is for Singapore between 2019-2020, averaging  6.5 with his stroke. But under ICC rules, he was eligible to play for Australia immediately.

Singapore-born hitter Tim David received his first call to Australia  on Thursday as the host nation presented a 15-member roster for the defense of the T20 World Cup  and the previous tour in India.

Australia has included 26-year-old great drummer Tim David in its 15-man squad, announced on Thursday, for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The same team, led by Aaron Finch, will travel to India for three T20I games and then return to play matches against England, West Indies to prepare for the big tournament.

David became a celebrity for the team after a number of standout individual performances in domestic cricket.

With just 14  international T20 players, David has an average score of  6.50 with a hit rate of 158, while he has made 5 tackles out of 11 innings with a save percentage is 9.32.

David has played for Singapore but  is qualified to represent Australia and is looking forward to it.
